started? Snowboard Materials is a good resource to gather what you need.
Skibuilders - http://www.skibuilders.com Skibuilders has a ton of resources, how
to’s and a forum that can most of your questions answered by other buiders out there.
Crown plastics - http://www.crownplastics.com Crown is the producer of Duarasurf
base material. They also make sidewalls and clear topsheet materials. Check out
their ‘Material Inventory Catalog’ for some great deals and give them a call if you
don’t find what you’re looking for.
Fiberglass Supply - http://www.fiberglasssupply.com A local company that supplies
glass, resin and vacuum designs/supplies. Very fast turn around time and great to
work with.
Raka Inc. - http://raka.com A good source for glass tape pre-cut to around 12” wide.
Several types and weights of glass available.
CDC - No website… CDC is out of the Great Lakes region and has the edges you’re looking
for. They are hard to track down and have limited supplies for the small builder.
If you’re in a bind, Snowboard Materials can probably get you some.
Tap plastics - http://www.tapplastics.com There’s a local branch near us that is
a great resource for glass and epoxy as well as the little supplies. They’re marine
epoxy with a medium hardener works well for us. and hardens at a good pace
